One of the country’s largest builder providers has warned customers that they face swingeing price increases in January on a wide variety of materials, ranging from 3 to 20 per cent.
Dublin Providers Limited (DPL), which operates from ten depots across the country, told its customers last month that it had been advised of price increases by a large number of suppliers.
It said that the company “cannot continue to absorb these increases and must pass them on to our customers”.
The list contains price increases from 30 suppliers, with the majority of the hikes to be implemented on goods delivered on or after January 1. The suppliers include a number of large and well-known building products manufacturers.
