BBC reports that thirty jobs are at risk at Aer Lingus as it considers permanently axing its Belfast to Heathrow due to Brexit issues.

 

Sticking with Aer Lingus, speaking before the Oireachtas Transport Committee on the Government’s new National Aviation Policy the airline said it ‘can’t and won’t’ review the closure of its cabin crew base at Shannon Airport.

The Government party leaders are expected to hold discussions ahead of the Cabinet reshuffle. After a Dáil vote Micheál Martin is set to be replaced by Leo Varadkar as Taoiseach.

 

The Examiner reports that teacher shortages are hurting the most vulnerable students.

 

Religious orders will be prevented from moving assets beyond the reach of the victims of sexual or other forms of abuse, under proposed legal changes to be outlined today.

 

And finally, sending solidarity to the tens of thousands of UK nurses forced to strike today in a ‘tragic first’ for the NHS.
