Dear member,
I am writing to inform you that the escalation of industrial action due to begin this Thursday 11th January has been suspended.
You will recall we wrote to you in early December after our successful lunchtime protests, informing you of the decision to implement a rolling phone and email ban from the 11th January 2024.
On the 5th January 2024 we received an invite from the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) to attend a hearing on the 17th January 2024 in an effort to find a resolution to our long running dispute.
The disputes committee of the Health & Welfare Division met yesterday and have agreed to accept the invitation from the WRC.The committee also took the decision to suspend any escalation to allow the parties to focus on a solution.
Please note that our ongoing industrial action, including the work to rule, continues. You can read the union instruction related to that action here.
We will update all members following the WRC hearing.
