Taking it to another level
by Bernard Harbor

Martin Wall of the Irish Times has this on the post-PSSA talks (which, for today at least, don't attract much attention elsewhere) and this on pay strife in Section 39 agencies, a story also picked up by RTÉ.

Meanwhile, DPER has weighed-in on yesterday's revelation that some property registration staff have been paid fully while working part-time. It ain't allowed. That story's also taken up (rather belatedly) in the Examiner, perhaps a harbinger of more to come over the weekend.

Elsewhere, the Examiner also has this on speech therapy waiting lists, An Post is facing into its busiest ever fortnight, and both the opposition and the meeja are eking out the Séamus Woulfe saga.

In overseas news, Trump has taken another grudging step towards acknowledging the inevitable. No doubt hopes have soared in the Biden household as the loser refuses to commit to attending Joe's inauguration.

Staying Stateside, it's Jimi Hendrix's birthday today. Nothing more Zen than his Little Wing

Have a good weekend.

Bernard
