Working from Ohm (Sweet Ohm)
by Niall Shanahan

Good morning,

Last night Fórsa issued a statement urging councillors to reject a Dublin City Council proposal to sell a Ballymount waste recycling facility to a private company. The proposal will come before the monthly meeting of Dublin City councillors tonight.

Also on the DCC agenda tonight is the approval of €34 million in borrowing to fund the construction of facility in Ballymun for outdoor staff and equipment, following a €20 million overrun in the cost of the project. That report is in the Irish Times.

The HSE has warned that the State faces a “massive” healthcare bill running to well in excess of €1 billion to pay for the long-term battle against the Covid-19 pandemic.
