CSQ Autumn/Winter 2025 out now!

Dear members,

The latest edition of CSQ - Fórsa’s magazine for our members in the Civil Service division is out now.

In this first edition of CSQ since Jean Taylor became Chairperson of the Civil Service Division, Jean takes the opportunity to ask members for their help in achieving her ambitions of building a stronger, more active division and union.

Read our report on the Civil Service divisional conference and take a look at our breakdown of the divisional strategy which will guide the division’s work over the next two years.

Catch up on the details of the revamped civil service probation policy, and the upcoming new conciliation and arbitration scheme. We say farewell to AGS Paul Moyer as he retires after 30 years of dedicated service and read our as Gaeilge piece on Fórsa’s address to the joint Oireachtas committee on the Irish language.

It has been a busy summer for Fórsa out in the community, we have reports from our time pressing-the-flesh and talking to members old and soon-to-be at the Ploughing Championships, the launch of our workplace-focused breast cancer health awareness campaign, and the LGBTQIA+ Network’s summer of Pride as they carry our banner further than ever before.

Hear about our union’s important charity work, providing funds for important initiatives in Dublin’s North East Inner City, where our headquarters is based, and our sponsoring of kits for young Palestinian hurlers.

Additionally, we have important policy analysis pieces taking a look at worrying moves towards deregulation from the EU Commission President, and guest writer, Dr. Tom McDonnell of the Nevin Economic Research Institute, laying out a comprehensive economic model of development for Ireland, based in resilience and the promotion of better more secure employment for people living in Ireland.

You can read the magazine here.

Best wishes
