To mark the tenth anniversary of Amy Winehouse's death on July 23 we take a look back at her career in pictures.
Born Amy Jade Winehouse in September 1985, she went from National Youth Jazz Orchestra to a five-time Grammy winner in a meteoric rise.
2003 saw the release of Winehouse's debut album Frank, which went certified platinum in the UK.
The album's opening track Stronger Than Me earned her an Ivor Novello award for songwriting at the ceremony in 2004, a huge milestone to reach so early in her career.
Winehouse would go on to win two more Ivor Novello awards, in 2007 for Rehab and again in 2008 for Love Is A Losing Game.
2004 also saw the beginning of her on/off relationship with Blake Fielder-Civil. The couple were married from 2007 to 2009.
Fielder-Civil became the inspiration for her second album Back to Black, which she released in 2006 to huge acclaim.
The album featured hits like Rehab, Back to Black and Tears Dry on Their Own. It became the best-selling UK album of the following year and saw her enter the Billboard charts in the US, making the highest debut for a UK female artist.
That year she took to the stage at Other Voices in Dingle.
In 2008, Winehouse was in Dublin to accept her Meteor Ireland Music Award for Best International Female.
At the 50th Grammy Awards ceremony the same year, Winehouse performed via video link from London.
She won 5 out of her 6 nominations including, record of the year, best new artist, song of the year, pop vocal album and female pop vocal performance.
2008 was also the year Winehouse was arrested twice, and admitted to rehab.
2009 and 2010 were turbulent years for Winehouse; she was arrested again, charged with a public order offence and she divorced her husband.
A third studio album was expected to be released in 2011 but never materialised.
On 23 July 2011, she was found dead at her London home at the age of 27.
