Dear colleagues,
First off, I would like to welcome our newest members. We have seen a major uptick in new members joining Fórsa since the announcement of a ballot on 6th August and this is a testament to the solidarity between our colleagues across the departments and organisations in Miesian Plaza.
Fórsa has organised an information table on Thursday 24th September, between 12.30PM and 2.15PM, which will take place near the canteen on the ground floor of Miesian Plaza. This will be an opportunity for all members to demonstrate their support for the current campaign and forthcoming industrial action, as well as find out more about how they can get involved with their branch and the wider union. Fórsa lanyards, pins and posters will be available at the table.
Representatives from head office are attending to facilitate the event and it will be a great opportunity for those who have not already joined the union to sign up, so please spread the word among your coworkers.
A photographer will be present, and we encourage anyone who would like to join in to support their union’s visibility and ongoing work to call down at 1.30PM for a group photograph.
Lastly, throughout the coming weeks we are asking members to show their support for the union and their colleagues by:
- Wearing their lanyards and other campaign merchandise
- Displaying campaign posters throughout the workplace
- Engaging with branch representatives
- Demonstrating visible support for the upcoming industrial action
