Fergus Finlay writes in the Examiner that we will all be losers if this winter is blighted by widespread strikes.

Union leaders have warned that workers without pensions may not pay into a new state-run scheme due to fears their savings will be "squandered". While the debate about public sector pensions begins in earnest.

The public sector pay commission will consider the value of public sector pensions, while IMPACT says the Commission 'should not be packed with acedemics'.
