Here's a look at some of today's front pages. Nama's handling of the Northern Ireland loan book, joint raids by Spanaish and Irish police on criminal gangs and the junior cretificate results all feature.

Dublin Bus staff start their second series of two day strikes, while management has warned the work stoppages could leave  the door open to privatisation.  There is also disruption of flights to France today due to industrial action by French ATC.

The ICTU has called for increased spending on public services and no tax cuts in its pre-budget 2017 submission. You can see more details here.

IMPACT's Richy Carrothers was on Ocean FM yesterday about Sligo County Council's plans to close the Central library. The Irish Times report that two of Sligo's three branch libraries face closure.

Dublin rents hit record high after 10pc rise nationwide according to the Residential Tenancies Board.

Dr Orlaigh Quinn will become the new Secretary General of the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation from 3rd October.

A picture of a fan-throated lizard has been announced as the winner of the Zoological Society of London’s fifth annual Animal Photograpy Prize.
