IMPACT members’ special bulletin - PUBLIC SECTOR PAY TALKS UPDATE
PUBLIC SECTOR PAY TALKS UPDATE

Colleagues,

Considerable progress has been made on the draft text of a potential public service agreement.

The draft text focuses on the machinery of the agreement, oversight arrangements, dispute resolution and - importantly from a trade union perspective - outsourcing protections.

Talks are expected to move on to the income restoration element in the next 24 hours, once a conclusion has been reached on the draft text.

IMPACT continues to advocate using the pension levy as the main mechanism to achieving a flat rate benefit.

IMPACT will issue further updates to members as talks develop in the coming days.

Yours sincerely
Shay Cody
General secretary, IMPACT
