Best of the IMPACT news digest - 13th - 21st July 2016

Colleagues,

The Top 10 most popular items in IMPACT's news digest over the last fortnight.

1) Bastille Day's zen: 'Ma Marseillaise' by Charlélie Couture. Nobody could have predicted the tragic events that would unfold in Nice later that night.

2) Donald Trump and Mike Pence's first interview. It was not entirely successful.

3) In last Tuesday's zen Father Ted reminds us why July the 19th is such an important day.

4) Wednesday the 20th: Melania Trump's speech sounds oddly familiar.

5) The Labour Party's Angela Eagle hearss that Boris Johnson has been made Foreign Secretary while live on stage. Her reaction says it all.

6) The Guardian compiled a list of the best summer 2016 holiday reads. It was Wednesday the 13th's zen.

7) The Government announced a new forum for dialogue between Unions and Employers, LEEF, (it's not a return to Social Partnership).

8) 'The Lunatics Have Taken Over the Asylum'. Last Monday's zen was inspired by the scenes at the Republican National Convention.

9) And coming in at number 9, it's the week's big IMPACT news: the new Public Service Pay Commission.

10) Finally, at number 10, it's the distressing news that Angela Keirns considered suicide during the fallout from the Rehab scandal.

Enjoy your day

Lughan
