Here's a look at some of today's front pages. Car insurance bosses are under investigation for breach of competition law. First-time buyers are to get up to €10,000 in a tax rebate as part of Government plans to reheat the property market.

More than 60,000 students get the results of the junior certificate today.

IMPACT has served notice of industrial action on the CRC, IMPACT official
Ian McDonnell said the industrial action was due to the CRC’s “unilateral decision to terminate the staff contributory pension scheme without any consultation or negotiation with staff”.


Dublin Bus services will again terminate at 9pm tonight (Wednesday) in advance of planned strike action by staff on Thursday and Friday.
The planned 48-hour work stoppage now seems certain to go ahead with no indication of any intervention planned aimed at resolving the pay dispute. Further strikes are planned for next week.

Lovers of the Great British Bake Off will be interested to know the programme is moving to Channel 4.


There are some surprises on the short list for the 2016 Man Booker shortlist.

Today's zen goes to Nicole Turner Ireland’s 14-year-old Paralympic star who completed her fourth final appearance in Rio yesterday.
