IMPACT News Digest - Wednesday 5th October 2016

Good morning colleagues,

Here's a look at some of today's front pages.  Speaking of Broadsheet, IMPACT's Blog continues to receive coverage.  Yesterday, Broadsheet carried it under the headline Hold the Front Page.  Today's picture indicates the Examiner's reaction on Monday, with every front page story written by a female.  Tuesday's Irish Times reflected a similar reaction.

There was plenty of opinion voiced about public service pay and pensions on RTE's Late Debate.  The leader in the Indo pitches in too saying the Government must take a firm stand on wages.  The Examiner also have their opinion.  The AGSI have put a number on it, with mid-ranking Gardai seeking a 16.5% pay rise.  Meanwhile the doctors are saying sort out their €700m pay row or hospitals will struggle for staff

In other news the Indo reports  'PAC are entitled to query Rehab wages'  and the PDForra conference claim the Defence Forces are leaving in droves because they can't afford to live on their wages.

Today's Zen is a collection of the greatest record sleeves, chosen by the designers, from the Guardian.

Enjoy your day.
