Fórsa, which represents the majority of staff in Scouting Ireland, has warned that the jobs of dedicated staff are at risk because of a ‘reckless decision’ made by the board of Scouting Ireland, which stepped down on Saturday (6th October).

The Civil Service rate for overnight domestic subsistence allowance has increased, effective from 1st October, following an agreed review.

The Municipal Employees’ Division of Fórsa decided this week to ballot members to take industrial action as a result of the failure of local authority employers to adhere to the agreement on headcount levels.
