The Irish Air Lines’ Pilots Association (IALPA), a branch of Fórsa, will meet with Aer Lingus management today in an effort to resolve the current pay dispute in direct talks, ahead of a scheduled Labour Court hearing later this month.

The parties met in direct talks last week following correspondence from the airline’s chief operations officer.

The Labour Court hearing is due to address the current pay dispute between IALPA and Aer Lingus and follows recent inconclusive WRC engagements, and IALPA’s rejection, in January, of recommendations by the Pilot Pay Tribunal.

IALPA has said previously that any new pay deal needs to account for the loss of real earnings due to inflation, and to consider pilot pay increases throughout the industry.

The Labour Court hearing is scheduled to take place on Monday 22nd April. IALPA and Aer Lingus management will meet in direct talks this morning, Friday 12th April.
