A number of executive officer (EO) positions have been announced in the Legal Aid Board following discussions with management on career progression for workers. The posts, which will be filled by internal competition, follow union talks with management about identifying career paths for those working outside of corporate offices.

Fórsa official Seán Carabini has welcomed the announcement, citing it as a step in the right direction. “This really is great news. We have been looking for career paths for long serving clerical officers for a long time and, while we would like to see more such opportunities. We welcome this first positive step,” he said.
