New staff in the education division
by Brendan Kinsella

Fórsa is pleased to welcome two staff members to the team. Linda O’Sullivan and Noreen O’Mahony have been appointed as assistant industrial officers on a temporary basis. Linda will be working with the South Dublin South Leinster SNA branch and Noreen will be working with the Munster and Connaught Ulster SNA branches.

Both are well known to SNA members for their dedicated activism within the union, with Noreen having served as a stalwart chair of the division and Linda being known for her tireless campaigning on domestic violence.

They will fill in the positions vacated by Dylan Archibald who has been promoted to industrial officer and moved to the health and welfare division, and Seamus Ryan who will be filling in as an industrial officer for schools in the southern half of the country.

Andy Pike head of division said “We’re delighted that Noreen and Linda are taking on these roles. It’s great to have two people who can hit the ground running. I’ve personally seen their hard work and commitment as reps and I look forward to working with them as officials.”

He continued “I’m thankful to Seamus for stepping up; I know he’ll do a wonderful job. Dylan, on the other hand, is a great loss to the education division. We wish him well in his new role, he has more than earned it.”
