Head of Fórsa’s Local Government and Local Services division, Richy Carrothers, has criticised the LGMA for an “unacceptable delay” with progressing local bargaining claims submitted last year. 

Members working in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in local authorities are being asked to attend an online meeting on Thursday 2nd July to provide them with an update on ongoing negotiations. 

Serious concerns regarding staff treatment and service delivery at Dunamaise Arts Centre will be raised at the next meeting of Laois County Council on Monday 29th June. 

Over 18,000 Fórsa members who are special needs assistants will be asked to vote on the new SNA Workforce Development Plan (SNAWDP) in a ballot that opens next week.

New research presented by Fórsa to the National Economic and Social Council (NESC) confirms that workers are performing better in remote and hybrid environments, while also benefiting from improved work-life balance and reduced cost pressures.
