IMPACT trade union
Lobbying activity
The following activities occurred for this specific Subject Matter Area.
Meeting (1)
18th October 2017 as part of delegation of Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU)
Congress wanted to share our concerns on the following:
That the proposal to change the mandate of the Commission for Aviation Regulation so that it was not required to have any regard to future viability of Dublin Airport could have very damaging consequences for the Airport and those who work in it
That restricting the scope for ministerial intervention could prevent an intervention by the minister in the interest of citizens
About some aspects of the proposal to restructure the CAR and IAA and the consultation process that might be used to further consider these proposals;
About the mention in the policy paper of an upcoming review of the ownership of the state airports and the reason for such a review.
