Fórsa is established as the sole union for Irish-based Ryanair cabin crew after it signed recognition agreements with the two agencies that supply the airline with crew members.

The agreement with the Crewlink and Workforce agencies was signed at the end of last month. The union already has a recognition agreement covering directly-employed cabin crew in the airline itself.

Fórsa official Ashley Connolly said the latest agreement marked a completion of the first step toward collective bargaining for Irish-based crew in the formerly anti-union airline.

“The agreement signed with Crewlink and Workforce is another very positive development for Ryanair cabin crew. We’ve already commenced discussions on an agenda of items drawn up in consultation with directly employed crew. As these items are developed into more detailed proposals, we’ll bring the same agenda to our discussions in the two agencies,” she said.

The agenda items tabled by the union include base transfer and seniority, a review of sick leave and disciplinary policies, shift pattern bidding, and shift exchanges.
