Fórsa has won important concessions on CORU fees and twilight payments, which will come into play if the new public service agreement, Building Momentum, is accepted in union ballots.

If the deal is ratified, the annual fee that health and social care professionals pay for professional registration with CORU will remain at €100.

The fee was reduced from €295 to €100 under the 2013 Haddington Road agreement and subsequent national deals, and the cap will remain in place if Building Momentum is accepted.

The deal will also see the return of additional payments to health and social care professionals who work between 6.00pm and 8.00pm – the so-called ‘twilight payments,’ which were abolished during the last financial crisis.

Paid-up Fórsa members working in the health service have now received an email with a ‘unique voter code,’ which enables them to cast their vote in the ballot on a proposed agreement.

The union is urging members to update their details or contact the ballot helpdesk if they haven’t received their ‘unique voter code,’ or if they’re having difficulty voting on the deal called Building Momentum.
