With workload pressures and expectations ramping up, ICT staff in local authorities are balloting for action over pay and grading being out of sync with the realities of their jobs.

Following a motion passed at divisional conference in May, Fórsa has tabled a claim seeking to establish a neurodiversity policy in the local government sector.

The introduction of the pension auto-enrolment retirement savings scheme, called My Future Fund, will start from 1st January 2026. ICTU has warned union members to ensure that any new occupational pensions schemes meet the minimum conditions of auto-enrolment.
