Over 1,000 new members have joined Fórsa’s Services and Enterprises division since April 2022.

Head of Fórsa's Services and Enterprises Division Katie Morgan believes that the continued growth of the division and continued support of members will ensure the union will be in a more powerful position come 2023.

“Union density is pivotal in increasing leverage to collectively make a difference in the workplace. The more members we have standing together for better wages and safer working conditions, the more of an impact we can make,” she said.

Katie urged members to reach out to their workplace rep and get involved.

“In order to organise and become a ‘stronger’ union, we need member engagement at all levels. If you are interested in becoming more involved in your union, please reach out to your local workplace rep,” she said.

“A lot of effort from members, activists and staff has gone into recruitment and organising over the last seven months, and the hard work is paying off in terms of membership growth and delivering wins for members. It is everyone’s responsibility to grow our union, you can do this by encouraging colleagues who aren’t yet part of the union to join - Ní neart go cur le chéile!,” said Katie.

It’s never been more important – or easier – to get the protections and benefits of union membership. Join Fórsa HERE or contact us HERE.
