CE supervisors ballot on interim pay boost
by Niall Shanahan
The ICTU group of unions representing community employment (CE) supervisors, including Fórsa, are balloting their members on a new interim pay deal, following negotiations in November with the Department of Social Protection (DSP).
Fórsa CE supervisor members are currently balloting on the offer of 3%, backdated to 1st March 2024. The ballot closes next Thursday, 19th December.
Commenting on the new pay terms, Fórsa assistant general secretary Deirdre O’Connell Hopkins said the group of unions has advised the DSP that the current offer is insufficient: “We opened the ballot to this interim pay offer last week and it will close on 19th December. ICTU will advise the DSP of the ballot outcome next week.
“We’ve sought that outstanding pay issues for this year be dealt with early in the new year, and we’ve also sought the inclusion of pay reviews in 2025,” she said.
Join a union that wins. Join Fórsa.
