Members working as administrative staff grades III and IV in Tusla are invited to a national member meeting taking place from 1pm to 2pm on Wednesday 5th August. The meeting will mark the beginning of a new phase in the campaign to secure access to the job evaluation scheme for these workers. 

The meeting will be held online, and a link has been issued to the affected members via email. Members can also access a link to the meeting here. 

Fórsa official Tony Martin said: “We encourage members to attend the meeting if they can. We will be giving members important updates on where things stand with our claim and our engagements with management. Most importantly, we will be laying out our plans for the campaign going forward.” 

Tusla unilaterally withdrew from the job evaluation scheme in September 2023, effectively cutting workers off from a fair evaluation of their work duties.

Tony said, “Administrative staff play a critical role across Tusla services, and many members have raised concerns that their current grading no longer reflects the complexity, responsibility, and scope of the work they undertake.” 

“Staff should have access to a fair and transparent process that allows roles to be properly and independently evaluated where there is evidence of substantial change. Our campaign is an important step towards ensuring that the work undertaken by administrative staff across Tusla is fairly recognised and rewarded,” he concluded.
