Further negotiations between Fórsa and the Department of Education and Youth took place yesterday at the WRC, with Fórsa calling for greater effort and urgency in talks. 

Fórsa has cautiously welcomed the Budget 2026 announcement of 1,700 new Special Needs Assistants (SNA) posts for the start of the 2026/2027 school year but cautions it needs to be met with making progress in other areas.
