Fórsa’s Aer Lingus Cabin Crew branch committee has decided to put the company’s latest proposals for structural changes to a ballot of its members.

The proposals include a pay freeze until December 2024, a lower entry point changes to sick leave for new entrants, and reductions in sales commission.

The proposals have not been agreed by the cabin crew branch executive committee.

The branch has made a decision to maintain a ‘neutral’ stance on the proposals being put to ballot, and will therefore make no recommendation on how members cast their vote. The committee wants to ensure everyone has the right to vote on the proposals.

The vote will be conducted electronically, and members will shortly be issued with an explanatory email about the implications of accepting and rejecting the package. This will be followed by further information about how to vote.

The branch committee is also planning a series of webinars to allow members to ask questions about the proposals. Details of this have gone to members and further information will be sent in the coming days.
