May Day!

The theme of this year’s May Day march and rally will be 'A world in crisis - climate, war, housing, cost-of-living, hatred - workers fighting back!'.

The march will assemble at 1.30 pm (for a 2.00 pm start) on Monday 1st May at the Garden of Remembrance, Parnell Square, Dublin. It will then proceed to Beresford Place, outside Liberty Hall, for a rally with a number of speakers

Fórsa will be attending the march and all members are welcome to join us.

The event will be addressed by a number of speakers including Fórsa’s Betty Tyrrell Collard who is chairing the rally, and Kevin Donoghue who will speak on the union's 4 Day Week campaign.

Other speakers at the rally also include:

  • Tommy Simpson (SIPTU & DCTU), ‘The Climate Crisis’
  • Mick O’Reilly (Unite & DCTU), ‘War and peace’
  • Sue Shaw (CEO, Irish Senior Citizens Parliament), ‘Cost of Living’
  • Lucky Khambule (Movement of Asylum Seekers in Ireland, MASI)
  • Tayra Lopes (Unite), ‘Reinstate the Murphy 4’

There will also be music and socialising in Liberty Hall following the rally.

Members are encouraged to join the Fórsa delegation and proudly display their union's banner at the march.
