HSCPs! Last chance to take part in your local bargaining survey
by Brendan Kinsella

Local bargaining is a key feature of the Public Service Agreement 2024 to 2026.

The term local can be misleading. It is a new process of national bargaining for collective issues specific to a grade, group or category. Claims amounting to 3% can be made; however, there will be no automatic payment without a claim being submitted.

As part of the current Public Service Agreement, you can submit a claim on behalf of the ‘Therapies Grade’ on issues related to your pay and terms and conditions of employment.

Tell us what matters to you by completing this short survey.

This survey is for dietitians, occupational therapists, orthoptists, physiotherapists, podiatrists and speech and language therapists. It has been developed in conjunction with your national professional committees (NPCs). It has been developed in conjunction with your national professional committees (NPCs).

The survey is open to all therapy members, encompassed by the six professions listed above, working in the HSE and HSE funded agencies. It was issued by email to all relevant members.

There are already several areas identified as priorities for the profession following engagement with the six national professional committees. These have been identified from the previous submissions to the Career Pathway Review Process.

If you have a colleague who is not yet a member of Fórsa, why not tell them about the survey and encourage them to join via our website

The survey will close at 5pm on Thursday 17th April 2025. The results will then be considered by the NPCs jointly to finalise the claim for submission.
