Fórsa pilot members at Ryanair have backed a new four-year collective agreement with the airline.

The agreement, finalised in December, followed discussions at the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC).

The new agreement includes post-Covid pay restoration measures brought froward from 2023 - in addition to pay restructuring measures. Fórsa balloted pilots with a recommendation in favour of the deal. The electronic vote recorded 73.8% approval on a turnout of 86.9%.

The new pay structure takes effect from 1st January 2023, and inclusive of the productivity bonus. The new rates provide additional fixed pay to secure the same basic pay for all Irish bases of €100,000 for captains, €50,000 for first officers, €40,000 for junior first officers and €30,000 for second officers.

The new agreement includes various allowances such as training, flight pay rates, pension, annual leave, death-in-service and other benefits.

Fórsa assistant general secretary Ian McDonnell said: “The new collective agreement provides for improved pay and certainty for pilots over the next four years

“The outcome of these pay discussions mark a positive outcome to the process, and I wish to acknowledge the WRC for its invaluable assistance in bringing talks to a conclusion,” he said.
