Fórsa official Lynn Coffey said it was both “exciting and inspiring” to see the branches work together.

Fórsa’s North-East Health and Welfare and Local Government branches came together last week (9th February) to hold the first branch led training and organising event since the pandemic.

Jointly organised by the branches, the two-day strategy session offered workshops on visibility of the union and organising, and provided an information session on the new database.  A training session on motion development ahead of this year’s divisional conference was also facilitated.

Former Fórsa official Ray Ryan was invited to attend as a special guest. Ray was the official for the region for over fifteen before his retirement in 2018.

Fórsa official Lynn Coffey said it was both “exciting and inspiring” to see the branches work together.

“The branches came together and worked hard on this strategy event. It was brilliant to see our members back in the same space, working and organising together, I’m really excited for the future,” she said.

There’s never been a better time to join a union, and it’s never been easier. Join Fórsa today.
