A ballot by members working as CE Scheme supervisors has approved a recent pay agreement.
The agreement was negotiated by Fórsa and SIPTU with the Department of Social Protection (DSP) and follows agreements in 2024 and 2025.
89% of members voted in favour of the deal, a result which was then aggregated with the result of a ballot by SIPTU members.
The terms of the agreement are as follows:
- An increase of 2% in basic pay with effect from 6 April 2026
- An increase of 2% in basic pay with effect from 1 November 2026
The pay increase will apply to all supervisors and assistant supervisors working in Community Employment schemes, Tús schemes, the Rural Social Scheme (RSS) and Job Initiative programmes.
The Department has also agreed to reconvene during 2026 to review other issues relating to terms and conditions.
Speaking about the result, Fórsa official Deirdre O’Connell Hopkins said: “This is a positive step forward. Workers in this vital sector are essential to so many community outreach programmes across Ireland, they deserve to be paid fairly.”
