Pay scales for Fórsa members working in the education sector have been updated on the Fórsa website, reflecting the fifth income adjustment under the Public Service Stability Agreement (PSSA). The 1.75% adjustment, which came into effect on 1st September last, applies to civil and public servants, including education staff, who are covered by the PSSA.

Fórsa's Education division represents over 12,000 education staff in schools and early education, as well as clerical, administrative, management staff in institutes of technology and education and training boards.

The deal, which was negotiated by Fórsa and other unions in 2017, will deliver another 0.5% pay adjustment for those earning under €32,000 a year in January, and a 2% salary adjustment for all those covered by the agreement in October 2020. Another adjustment in the pension levy threshold is also due next year.
