Ryanair talks continue

Talks between Fórsa and Ryanair management have been continuing, with assistance from mediator Kieran Mulvey.

As reported in the last bulletin, an offer of renewed talks, in the dispute over over pay, working conditions and related issues, was made during High Court hearings last month. The High Court granted the airline an injunction preventing two days of planned strikes going ahead.

The union had served notice of a 48-hour strike after 94% of directly-employed Ryanair pilots, who are members of Ialpa voted to back industrial action in the long-running dispute.

Ialpa is seeking pay levels it believes are common and competitive in the commercial airline sector, from a company that made a substantial profit of €1 billion last year.
