SNAs vote to accept local bargaining offer
by Hannah Deasy

In a ballot of members which closed on Wednesday 1st July, SNAs voted in favour of a pay increase negotiated using local bargaining. The ballot of members took place at the same time as the ballot on the SNA Workforce Development Plan.

Local bargaining is a type of collective bargaining featured in the Public Service Agreement 2024-2026. It allows grades, groups or categories of workers to negotiate pay claims.

Fórsa submitted a claim on behalf of SNA members, using the local bargaining clause, to achieve a 1.5% pay increase to the top of the SNA pay grade. Government agreed to the claim and members have now approved this by ballot.
