Local bargaining surveys for psychologists and social work members close today!
by Brendan Kinsella

As the local bargaining process continues, Fórsa has been surveying psychologists and social work members. The surveys are open until 5pm today, Friday 11th July. Results will then be considered to finalise the claims.

Local bargaining is a process that addresses collective issues specific to a grade, group or category, and a key feature of the Public Service Agreement 2024-2026.

As the Department of Public Expenditure has indicated that engagement on local bargaining claims will begin soon, Fórsa is asking members what issues they most want to see addressed in their claim.

There are already several areas identified as priorities for both professions by the respective National Professional Committees. These have been identified from the previous member engagement on establishing a career pathway reviews for psychology and for social work.

National secretary Linda Kelly said: “It’s really important that members shape local bargaining claims related to their grades, so that the claims really reflect the issues being faced by members.”

Members will be required to provide their membership number to complete this survey.
