Fórsa will host two divisional conferences next week in Letterkenny (Wednesday 14th to Friday 16th May). The union's general secretary, Kevin Callinan, will address both conferences on 15th May. 

Fórsa’s Local Government and Local Services division represents more than 10,000 local government and services workers including clerical, administrative, management, technical and professional staff.  

Delegates will debate branch motions on a wide range of issues covering, pay, pensions, industrial relations issues, union campaigns and the conference will also feature a number of presentations including:  

• Dr Lorcan Sirr, senior lecturer at TU Dublin - Home Truths: defining the housing crisis   
• Lilian Seenoi-Barr, Mayor of Derry City and Strabane since 2024: The role of local authorities in driving change on community and social integration   
• Panel discussion: Libraries & the far right.
