Aer Lingus cabin crew have voted to accept a Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) brokered deal that will restore pay and working hours to 100% from December 2021. A ballot of members approved the deal by a margin of more than 82%.

The ballot result means that the WRC recommendation has been accepted, and the union informed the company of the outcome yesterday (Thursday).

In a memo to members, Fórsa’s Cabin Crew branch committee said it believed the WRC proposal was the best possible outcome for all crew. It welcomed the results and thanked members for voting, and for their patience throughout the negotiation process.

The outcome means:

  • Cabin crew pay will remain at 100% post December
  • The 15-point scale is protected
  • The pay freeze will be shortened, and will conclude on 31st December 2024.
  • Increments will continue to be paid.

The deal also includes a reduction in sales commission from 12% to 7%, changes to crewing complements on A330 flights, and reductions to pay and sick pay for new entrants.

It’s never been more important – or easier – to get the protections and benefits of union membership. Join Fórsa HERE or contact us HERE.
