SNA qualifications: Fórsa to address Oireachtas committee tomorrow

The Oireachtas Joint Committee on Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science is holding hearings on ‘the need for revised criteria for special needs assistant (SNA) qualifications’ from 10.00am Tomorrow (Tuesday 21st June 2022).

 

Fórsa, which represents over 12,000 SNAs will address the committee. The union’s representatives will be:

  • Andy Pike: Fórsa Head of Education
  • Noreen O’Mahony: Chair of Fórsa’s Education Divisional Executive Committee
  • Niamh Jordan: An SNA who works with students in a mainstream class
  • Catriona Galster: An SNA who works with students in a special class
  • Linda O’Sullivan: An SNA who works with students in a special class
  • Shane Lambert: Fórsa assistant general secretary with responsibility for members in schools.
