The Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU) leadership training for ethnic minority / migrant worker trade union members returns this year with online sessions available in October and November.
Fórsa members represent one of the largest groups of past participants. We encourage any interested and eligible members to take advantage of this opportunity and take part this year.
This year, trainers Dr. Lucy Michael and Abdul Qayum Shafaq, will deliver an updated training. Because of this, the training is open to previous participants as well as anyone who hasn’t taken the training before.
Previous participant and Fórsa senior membership recruitment officer, Khalid El-Busaidy, is an enthusiastic supporter of the programme.
Encouraging members to take part, he said: “Definitely go for it, take the step. It is a great opportunity to grow personally and professionally.”
For more on his experience with the leadership training, read our interview with Khalid from last year.
The course will be delivered online over two 90-minute sessions.
The October sessions will take place on Tuesday, October 6th from 6.30pm to 8.00pm, and Saturday, October 10th, from 10.30am to 12.00pm.
