The Irish Airline Pilots’ Association (IALPA), a branch of Fórsa, has started negotiations with Ryanair on a new collective labour agreement for pilots based in Ireland, with pilot representatives seeking improvements on pay and a broad range of working conditions.

Talks have taken place on 7th October, 16th October and 23rd October, with further talks scheduled throughout November.

Pilot representatives have set improvements on pay as a priority, aiming to bring the pay of Ryanair pilots into line with the rest of the aviation industry.

Opening talks have focused primarily on annual leave, base transfers and union facilities.

IALPA Ryanair rep Captain Brendan Jacobs said:

“We are working hard to secure a new collective agreement that delivers real improvements in pay and conditions for Ryanair pilots.

“Our members are highly skilled professionals, and their pay should reflect industry standards while their working conditions should provide the fairness, stability and certainty they deserve.

“We are determined to secure meaningful improvements for our members and an agreement that properly values the work they do.”
