Notice served as Civil Service members prepare for industrial action

Official notice of industrial action in the Civil Service was served earlier this week, on Monday 14th September.

In the letter serving notice, deputy general secretary and head of the Civil Service division Éamonn Donnelly said:

“Members will be strictly following the instructions and working in accordance with their contracts of employment and carrying out duties limited to their respective grades.”

Over 2000 members have attended meetings this week, with further meetings due to take place next week.

Assistant general secretary Úna Faulkner urged members to take part so that they fully understand how the industrial action will work. She said: "Emails will issue shortly with details of online information meetings for all members working in the civil service, which will take place every day next week. We will also be issuing a detailed FAQ with specific information related to civil servants next week."

Any queries should be directed to local branch reps or by email to csindustrialaction@forsa.ie.
