Official union instructions issued to members working across local authorities nationwide yesterday, Thursday 17th September.
The instructions outline a series of work to rule and non-cooperation actions which members will take as part of the industrial action due to begin on Wednesday 30th September.
Head of the Local Government and Local Services and Municipal Employees divisions Richy Carrothers said: “It is vital that members familiarise themselves with the instructions. For collective action to have a real impact it needs to be strictly adhered to by everyone.”
At 12.30pm today a mass online meeting of all local government disputes committees, branch chairs and secretaries and divisional council members will take place to discuss organisation and strategy in the weeks and days ahead.
