This all-day event promises to be an inspiring forum for members to come together, exchange ideas, and engage in meaningful discussions on international affairs, trade unionism, and human rights. It offers a unique opportunity to explore shared challenges, celebrate global solidarity, and connect with issues that shape communities both at home and around the world.
Join us for a powerful and timely discussion with expert speakers on the crisis in Cuba, the oppression faced by the people of Afghanistan under Taliban rule, and the climate emergency — including the urgent need for a just transition. Delegates can also hear first-hand how Fórsa is standing in solidarity with communities in Palestine and Colombia and discover how this vital work is helping to build international solidarity in action.
Members can also take part in the International Solidarity fringe event on Thursday 15th October at 6.30pm in Nerney’s Court. This critical discussion will examine the rise of the far right and explore how we in the trade union movement can organise, respond, and build solidarity to challenge it.
