As we entered the bank holiday weekend, the Irish Times, Indo, Examiner, RTÉ and Business Post picked up on the news from the Fórsa ballot result.

Elsewhere on Friday, Aer Lingus wrote a lengthy letter to all its pilots warning on IAG's intentions to halt investment in the airline until the current pay dispute is resolved with IALPA. The parties are set to attend the Labour Court on 22nd April.

The company describes IALPA's pay demands as “continued unreasonable and irresponsible” while the pilots have accused the airline of stoking “fear, uncertainty and doubt” among pilots.

Meanwhile, Martin Wall continues his run of stories on remuneration in State firms.

Zen

Your moment of Zen today is the earworm I woke up with this morning. Flim by Aphex Twin.

Have a lovely week
