On foot of the Green party's proposals on the 4-Day week, published yesterday, The Journal polls its readers on the issue and 70% or so are very much in favour.

 

In other election news, ICTU has described a commitment by Sinn Féin in its General Election manifesto - to provide PRSI rebates worth more than €640m to businesses “hardest hit” by national minimum wage increases -  as “an unacceptable misuse of the money of workers”. Nevertheless, it would appear to be a key part of the party's election strategy.

 

Elsewhere, as the arterial routes in and out of Dublin swell with abundant traffic, there's more evidence of a return to the office. It is, of course, the real reason that people are being herded back to the office.

 

Our members at Letterkenny Hospital will be taking part in their lunchtime protest today. Michelle, keep that brazier lit, it's baltic.
