The aftermath of assaults on Fórsa members working at Oberstown detention centre continued into the weekend. Koulla Yiasouma is the chair of the Oberstown board and spoke to RTÉ's This Week programme, challenging figures provided by Fórsa about assault-related injuries and staff retention.

News coverage on Friday included Newstalk's Hard Shoulder, Virgin Media News bulletins and RTÉ's Six One. There's also coverage on Dublin Live, 98fm  and RTÉ.

Zen

Keir Starmer (son of toolmaker) has started to sing in harmony with Tory leader Kemi Badenoch ahead of this weekend's Glastonbury music festival, in the most unlikely duet of the Somerset festival's history.

This nascent two-piece (Badenoch on the war drums and legal writs, Starmer on mouth organ and tortured vowels) haven't had much rehearsal time, so they'll be relying heavily on vibes (and the public broadcaster's abject fear of a funding collapse) as they enter a new song into the canon of the BBC's long and undignified track record of music censorship at the behest of the State.
