ICTU has called on the Government to end the “over-dependence” on corporation tax receipts ahead of the today’s National Economic Dialogue, which is taking place at Dublin Castle this morning.
Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe is to address the meeting, and is expected to say the near-term economic outlook is “clouded in uncertainty”, which is weighing on consumer and business spending, and this is likely to continue until there is clarity regarding tariffs.
