Sticking with academia, the Irish Times also has a front page story on plans for the State will co-fund salaries for top academics as part of a scheme to poach overseas talent for Irish universities, under plans going to the Cabinet today: "The effort is expected to target, among others, disillusioned academics in the United States who have lost financial backing due to interventions by the Trump administration."

An NHS blood donation worker was awarded almost £30,000 following an incident in which her co-worker took a Star Wars-themed psychological test, on her behalf, subsequently telling colleagues she fell into Darth Vader’s 'category.'
